There is no Lemon

I have a problem with overthinking. When something is straightforward, my mind tangles the problem like the cables of your headphones in your pocket. The real issue here is that I can't seem to shake off the thoughts from my head, so it's both very time and mind consuming.
I suppose my face snitched on me because my aunt caught up on the fact I was in my own state of mind, and not really paying attention to the family meeting. When asked about it, I told her what you just read. After a moment, she started her tale:
You know, when we're training the military police, there's this exercise we always conduct. "Close your eyes" I say. "Now imagine I am bringing a tray of fresh lemons cut in halves. Take one of the lemons from the tray. Do you feel its weight in your hand? The texture of its peel? Now, put that lemon close to your nose. Can you smell the lemon? That aroma?". And the students would all nod in agreement.
I already knew where she was going with this.
"Now", She continued, "take a bite out of the lemon. Do you feel the juice come out of the lemon and onto your mouths? Do you feel the acidity of its flavour?"
She stopped, for a moment, as if to give the revelation more impact.
"Now open your eyes." And of course everyone would open their eyes just to find themselves lemonless. "There's no lemon, but your mouths are all watering".
"No lemon", I thought.
There is no Lemon.
